Easily keep up to date with your favorite AS3 open source projects at Google Code

Friday, October 24, 2008

I wasn't aware of this until tonight, but if you want to keep up to date with a particular open source AS3 project (or any for that matter) without blindly updating your checked out copy and going through the commit messages, you can subscribe to it's ATOM feed instead.

This is really handy in my opinion. An example of such a feed can be found here. It's the updates page for flexlib. You'll see that this page offers the feed which you can subscribe to.

Wait!! There is plenty more. Now Google Code offers a link on the right side of every project's home page called Feeds. Clicking on that opens up a lot of ATOM options. Check them out for the previously mentioned flexlib right here.

I guess this was added back in July of 2008, but I just noticed it. I previously checked out source from SVN and that was that.
