Anyone else notice that FrontRow now fades in from black instead of that cool desktop/FR transition in Leopard? I wonder if thats because TimeMachine uses that transition instead now.

I miss the old way, but the new way still works fine enough. It just doesn't have the same sense of pizazz.

I'll buy that. Sounds reasonable. And much less processor intensive for something that adds sparkle but no substance.

I don't know how fading FR in now would have anything to do with an old root menu schema.”

Half of things in Mac OSX has not much substance but makes working an enjoyable experience (hey, isn't that what the user needs to feel according to Adobe? :-D”
