My father has been a PC user for a long time, but his breadth of knowledge extended to the browser, pre-configured Outlook, and the Microsoft Office Suite. With a great machine with lots of RAM, etc. his machine was slowly crawling to a stall. Viruses. After using many packages, he was still getting viruses. I know, because its targeted so heavily, etc. Anyway, my father had it & decided to get the exact same rig I use today... a MacPro pimped out including a mother HD Cinema Display and sweet graphics card. He was immediately impressed with the OS, but he stumbles here and there trying to do things he did on the PC. Its not the same, there are slightly different avenues to take to get to a destination, etc. He has created and published a website on his own, is using Contribute to manage changes to it, and is upgrading to Leopard so I can control his screen to show him things (quicker than phone/emails). My Dad has taken from the cup and is drinking his fill. Sweet.
