It may sound boastful, but this man was seriously in every sense of the word: a saint. I was learning Polish to surprise you when I saw you next. And now that will be when I am a pallbearer at your funeral.
This is going to take a long time to get over.
Dziadzia, namesake to my son, kiss Babcia for me.

“Sorry for your loss. I would recommend you still saying something to him in Polish at the funeral. Finish what you set out to do. You will feel better in the end.”

“My condolences as well. I lost both of my grandfathers this past year and can really relate to your experience. They are remembered fondly and frequently and they continue to bring joy into my life. Treasure your memories.”

“Thanks for your kind words. After about 4 hours of crying, talking to family has helped a great deal. Today I'm just worn out tired from it all. Too tired to cry anymore. The sun came out for a brief moment and I felt him with me. That made my day.”
